OSACA Gets New State Excos

 Members of the Ondo State Agricultural Commodities’ Association (OSACA) on Tuesday, 9th April, 2024 elected new state executive officers to run the affairs of the association for the next 3years.

Those newly elected into office include:

1. Chairman : Chief Adejo Abiodun.
2. Vice Chairman Men: Engr. Ogundare
3. Vice Chairman Women: Mrs Afilaka.
4. Vice Chairman Youth: Ademola Akinbobade
5. General Secretary: Hon. Akin Ogunniyi
6. Assistant General secretary: Mr Sanni.
7. Finical secretary: Elder Olalumade
8. Treasurer: Mrs Ogunleye
9. PRO Mr Akanji Sunday Adedire.

Speaking shortly before the exercise, the outgoing state chairman, Mr. Gbenga Obayewa commended members for the support during his tenure in office just as he urged them to conduct themselves peacefully and to vote leaders that will represent their interest.

He also used the opportunity to charge them to support those that will emerge and stay united so that the new administration can succeed.

Giving his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture ably represented by the Director of Agric Services, Mr Bayo Oloruntoba who came to witness the process, appreciated members for their tremendous contributions to the economy of the state.

He also admonished delegates to vote wisely while also charging aspirants not to see the electoral process as a do or die affair.

On behalf of the Solicitor General, Barr. Atinuse Adeyemi also applauded delegates for their conducts.

Particularly, he affirmed that the association has a good structure on ground that can attract intervention both from the government and international bodies.

He also restated the need for all farmers to come together under the umbrella to move farmers forward in the state.

The climax of the event however is the election of new officers into office with the new chairman getting a total of 101 votes unopposed.

Responding shortly after the exercise, the chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Olufemi Oni described the process as free and fair to all

He also admonished those who won to deliver on set mandates just as he appealed to others to note there will always be another day for contest.
